2012 Ford Focus Wagon is the fifth variant derived so far from the platform of the new Ford C-car Global, developments that are part of a growing "One Ford" effort. We first saw a platform that supports C-Max and Grand C-Max at the Frankfurt Motor Show last fall, the Focus sedan and hatch in Detroit. Ford has plans for at least five more cars from the platform. U.S. markets will see some of these vehicles, but Focus wagon reportedly not going to be one of them.We get funky five-door hatchback Focus, however, nearly the same versatility as the wagon and did not come with a negative stigma. Indeed, Americans apparently warming to the idea if the orders for the Fiesta hatchback - the new Ford car another world - is any indication. Besides getting Focus Wagon, the Europeans also get a diesel engine for their focus. A lineup 2.0-liter Duratorq TDCi engine is available in 161, 138, and 113 hp flavor, while the 1.6-liter Duratorq TDCi can have with 113 or 94 hp. Ford has not released anything for the torque output of diesel engines, but we know the car maker will offer a six-speed dual-clutch automatic (aka PowerShift) transmission with 2.0-liter diesel engine.

Ford's commitment to add the technology for small cars is seen by the list of Focus feature. Everything from Sync to control torque vector for the adaptive cruise control will be available on the Focus, although not every technology will be available in every market. Ford was willing to take any and all technological features for each market with enough demand to make the business case, so if enough Americans demand an active cruise control and are willing to pay for it, easy for Ford to add those features.
So while Ford was willing to harbor more of the popular technology features as the market dictates, not every market will get every model built on the C-car platform Global - at least not at first. The last train Ford Focus managed only about four percent of sales in the U.S., so Ford does not seem a waste of money right now to sell it here.

Besides technology, Ford was willing to pack an unexpected luxury features into focus as well. Besides Focus wagon, Ford launched the Focus hatchback electric yellow five-door in the event the night before the day of his first press of Geneva, and the car was filled with black leather seats with yellow piping.
